We created a rustic design that featured armour rock retaining walls and dry stack stone structures. There is a 10’ high and 60’ long armour rock retaining wall used to level the lodge backyard. Over 95 tonne of dry stack stone were placed individually by hand in walls and columns around the property.
Reclaimed Timber Cabana
This "Reclaimed Cabana" project took place on a country property along the Saugeen River in Bruce County. Our design intent was to create a backyard escape overlooking the Saugeen River and incorporate rustic elements including a Cabana and Bar. The Cabana was made using reclaimed timbers from our client’s 145 year old barn that's been in their family since 1872. The post and beam structure was built using wood dowel fasteners to connect the beams, barn board siding, and a tin roof. Spot lights were placed strategically in the rafters to provide elegant lighting in the evening.
Fire and Timber
This space was created with natural stone products and reclaimed timber. The pergola offers a stunning space for entertaining with multi level fire features. Relax by the fire table lounge area or wood burning fire pit. Perfect for roasting marshmallows.
